From the Irish Laboratory DermaCeutic we use three different chemical peels:

  • Milk Peel (superficial peel)
  • Cosmo Peel (medium peel)
  • Spot Peel (medium peel)

 

Milk Peel (superficial)

Indications: dull complexion, wrinkles, epidermal stimulation, smoothing effect for softer skin, cosmetic potentiator and ioniser.

Ingredients: glycolic acid 50%, lactic acid 10% and salicylic acid.

Areas: face, neck, décolleté, back, hands.

Frequency: may be used up to 4 times in total with 2 weeks interval. 

Precautions: not for use on patients using vitamin A acid.  Not for use during pregnancy.  Avoid exposure to UV light for at least 1 week after treatment.

 

Cosmo Peel – TCA 15 % and TCA 18 % (medium)

Indications: ageing skin, smokers’ complexion, dark spots and wrinkles, stretch marks, loss of skin elasticity, actinic skin.

Ingredients: lactic acid, salicylic acid, citric acid, retinyl palmitate, ascorbic acid, selenomethionine, alpha tocopherol acetate

Areas: on face and all body skin, safe on all skin types.

Frequency: may be used up to 4 times in total with 2 weeks interval.

Precautions: Not for use on patients using Vitamin A Acid.  Not for use during pregnancy.  Avoid exposure to UV light for at least 1 month after the final treatment.  Do not wear perfume before or after the treatment. 

 

Spot Peel (medium)

Indications: pigmentation spots, pregnancy dark spots, melasma, post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Ingredients: mandelic acid, idebenone, emblica, retinol, salicylic acid.

Areas: face, hands, décolleté.

Frequency: normally only one treatment.  May be repeated after one month if necessary.
